Ballet:

Ballet is a core dance subject. It develops technique and establishes the basic elements for all styles of dance. We recommend every child attends ballet classes if they wish to develop good technique, which can be carried on to other subjects.

We follow the IDTA syllabus, and enter our pupils for examinations once they are ready.

Also offering Early Learning Ballet with Melody & Milligan Bear for ages 2 -4 years.

Tap:

Tap is all about rhythm... and making lots of noise... which we all know, children love to do!! It's origins are many and varied. Americans claim its origin dates from the African Jazz age. The Irish stake their claim to the Jigs and Step Dancing. The English relate back to northern Clog Dancers but whichever one you choose to believe, tap is as popular today as it was in the heyday of the great Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly musicals.

We follow the IDTA syllabus, and enter our pupils for examinations once they are ready.

Musical Theatre:

Let's dance, sing, act and have fun!!!

These classes cover all three aspects of musical theatre, working on one show/theme per term to allow progression and to help with performance skills. Our main aim is to have fun, whilst building confidence and developing vocal, acting and dance skills along the way.

Street dance:

This class includes all the latest trends in dance, such as hip hop, commercial jazz, and let's throw in some tricks for good measure.  We are extremely lucky to have the super-talented Stefan Puxon, as our resident street dance teacher. He has a wealth of experience in the industry as both a professional dancer and choreographer.

Please note that at times, Stefan may need to take some time off to work professionally, and so in this circumstance his classes will be covered by equally wonderful street dance teachers.
